Spider-Man: No Way Home Movie Premiere Hoodie

Not sure if you noticed by the title of this website, but it’s pretty obvious that I am a HUGE Spider-Man fan. So much so that I decided to design a graphic for a hoodie to wear to the premiere!

Since the third Sony/MCU Spider-Man movie has been in the works, it was rumored to feature both Spider-Men from yesteryear (Andrew Garfield from The Amazing Spider-Man and Tobey Maguire from the self-titled Spider-Man franchises respectively) to stand alongside current Spider-Man, Tom Holland.

As they do, leaks came out confirming their appearances. Therefore, I thought I’d approach this hoodie differently and take the multi-verse a step further not only by referencing the other two movie franchises but the comic Ultimate Spider-Man and the self-titled 90’s cartoon Spider-Man, as well.

Hoodie Design Process

In the video below, I go through the design and printing process of the hoodie itself! I learned how to upload and print DTG (Direct to Garment) on clothing. It was a very thrilling and rewarding process.

What did I learn throughout this process?

Putting out my own piece of merchandise was very exciting and fulfilling. Yes, a substantial amount of money was made. However, what was of the utmost importance to me was honoring the character of Spider-Man, while delivering a quality hoodie not only for myself but for those who preordered as well.

To apply the lessons I learned interning at Staple and apply them to something I designed was great. Looking for suppliers, conceptualizing the graphic, pricing the hoodie and ultimately learning how to use a DTG (Direct to Garment) machine was long and tedious but extremely rewarding in the long run.
